Arrival
After your arrival at the airport we will welcome you first in our office in Competa. We will accompany you to your booked holiday home after a small introduction. It is absolutely important that you communicate us your arrival time at Malaga airport. In case you arrive by own car, please let us know the approximately arrival time in Competa. These are required to make arrangements to meet you on arrival in our office in Cómpeta.
Please always call us after your arrival at the airport in Malaga (if you arrive by own car, please call at least one hour before your estimated time of arrival in the village) so that we know that you arrived safely and we have some idea when you will be in the office of Loymertours. We will then expect you approximately 1 hour after your call in our office in Cómpeta, where we will accompany you to your holiday house. The telephone number is 952516204 during office hours and our mobile numbers are 657957402 / 657 957 400 outwith these hours.
We do our best to accommodate arrivals at any time and settle you as quickly as possible. Officially property arrival is between 16.30 and 21.30. Please note that should you arrive after 21:30 an additional fee of 50 euros is payable. However we do try to be as flexible as possible and allow access as soon as the property has been cleaned and prepared. We ask that you depart by 11.30. Clients departing on later flights may be able to extend their stay depending on the arrival time of incoming clients. Please ask in our office if this is possible and we would ask you to appreciate that it will not always be so.

Cómpeta market starts every Saturday at about 09:00 hours (until about 13:30). Here you can find many different things:- fresh fruits and vegetables, new CDs
or T-shirts and trousers. From Friday night, it is very important not to leave your car in the bottom half of the car park (nearest to our office) as this is where the market is held.

At the moment there is an Internet café but “without the coffee”. It’s situated near the main square in the Calle San Antonio. |

|
The Post Office is situated in Camino de Archez “La Fabrica”. It is open from 09:00 am until 14:00 horas. You can also buy stamps at the Tobacco shop (above the main square).The letterboxes are yellow, one in Plaza Almijara (main square) and one at the bottom of the village near the bus stop.

The only petrol station in the area is situated at 800 m distance to Cómpeta on the road down to Sayalonga – Algarrobo.

The closest golf court you can find in Caleta de Velez at 20 km from Competa. Drive through the villages of Sayalonga and Algarrobo down to the coast. In Algarrobo follow the indications to Algarrobo-Costa and Caleta de Velez. From Caleta de Velez follow the indications for “Baviera Golf”. There is a large horse riding farm with numerous offers as well as for beginners as for progressing at only 2 km von Cómpeta. Drive in direction to Canillas de Albaida for approx. 1.8 km. | Walking Tours |
Competa is a perfect place to start walking tours into the close nature parks of Sierra Tejeda and Sierra Almijara. The nature park begins above Competa and inspires by its beautiful panorama views and the absolute peace. There are numerous walking routes as well as for beginners as for experienced walkers. Normally the walking routes are not indicated, so that we recommend to buy one of the walking guide books about the area. You can buy it in the paper-shop just beside our office or in the tourist information. |

The bus arrives in Cómpeta about 8 minutes after leaving Canillas de Albaida. The whole route
takes about 2 hours. If you want to go to Nerja or Torrox you have to change in Algarrobo.
Route, in reverse order, from Málaga to Canillas de Albaida:
Monday till Friday: 11:30, 13:15 and 18:30 hours
Saturday and public holiday: 13:15 and 18:30 hours
Sunday: 10:30 and 21:00 hours

| Tickets for the Alhambra |
The Alhambra, the oldest and best maintained Arabian palace of its era is a place you are sure
to want to visit. The name means “The Red” and is caused by the colour of the mountain on
which it is built.
The visit to the Alhambra takes about 3 hours and goes through the following 3 zones:
The fortress (Alcazaba), the Palaces of the Nasriden (Palacios Nazaríes), the manor house Generalife with its beautiful gardens.
NOTE: There will be a fixed time of entry if you want to visit the Palaces of the Nasriden and
entry will be restricted to 350 persons. We recommend that you reserve your tickets punctually.

| IMPORTANT - Return of the key |

On departure day you can hand over your house keys at our office. Out of our office hours, please put the key into the letterbox which is on the office wall next to our entrance.The departure should normally be made before 11:30 am. If you want to depart later than 11:30 am please ask at the office. We will try to be flexible depending on the arrival time of our next guest. Please ensure before you leave that all lights are turned off and doors and windows secured. Please do not leave rubbish in the house.

Please take your litter to the collection points, because here is no pick-up service. One waste collection centre you can find in the Av. Torrox (Restaurante Rustico) below the turn-off into the street. Another, you can find in the Carretera Canillas, below our office.
